SOL Sound of Light

Involvement in a unique live immersive project by New York based star saxophonist Ben Wendel, in collaboration with visual artist Ruben Van Leer.

Choreographer Lukáš Timulak has been approached by the film director Ruben Van Leer to help with the choreography/movement for the SOL project by Ben Wendel in close collaboration with dancer Alice Godfrey.

Sound of Light (SOL) is a captivating, multidisciplinary experience that merges live performance with cutting-edge visual art. Conceived by Grammy-nominated saxophonist Ben Wendel, visionary director Ruben Van Leer, and an acclaimed artist collective, this groundbreaking production blends music, dance, and innovative visual technology. Over the course of 80 mesmerizing minutes, SOL explores the deep connections between the human body, nature, memory, and trauma. Wendel’s saxophone improvisations interact in real-time with the movements of dancer Alice Godfrey, while evolving light and sound create an immersive environment. The audience is invited into a living, breathing space where art and technology seamlessly unite to reflect the delicate balance of human experience—its fragility, strength, and beauty.
